Corel Paint Shop Pro X would be the rebranded version 10 of Corel Paint Shop Pro PSP, the industry raster and vector graphics editor for Windows operating system. This feature laden software programs are fun and simple to use. Installation took three minutes utilizing the enclosed disk. The text automatically adjusts to fit within the shape. There isn't any spell check so care should be taken to avoid errors. The text box appears from the top corner however you can move it anywhere within the image you desire. While I had no problems moving the written text filled shape after that it was completed, I was struggling to start composing anywhere apart from the top corner.
I was probably most interested inside Magic Move feature. You find the subject you need to move, press the miscroscopic icon and also the software automatically fills the backdrop. I had to learn around from it before I was satisfied. The background didn't seem to complement and it had time and tweaking to have it how I wanted. Ive used numerous photo and image editing software programs over the years but I am definately not a professional photographer; Ive used various versions of Photoshop, PhotoDirector Plus, and today PaintShop ProX8.
Installation was straightforward: put inside disk, type inside code as located on the disk sleeve, and ignore it. I got three Free Programs with installation. Theyre standard fluffware addons software that I cant even remember each day later. The software ran okay on our rather basic family desktop: an AMD A6 quadcore machine running Windows 7 on 4GB of ram and integrated video.
The learning curve, similar to most powerful software, is steep. Its not just bundled-with-a-camera eradicate demon eyes at 6 year olds birthday celebration fixer software. Youll definitely want to utilize a large screen monitor because there are three workspaces in the software the tool palettes, actual image, etc.

Corel Paintshop Pro X8 is really a graphic editing software program that provides some powerful tools but with a fraction with the cost of Photoshop. As a caveat, Photoshop is additionally far more robust but high of that power just isn't needed with the average user. The important thing here's that the normal user is not to mean a beginner. If you are not accustomed to how graphical editing programs work, youre gonna have a learning curve regardless of the you use. For me, Corel now is easier simply because I dont need anything that Photoshop offers. If I was doing advanced editing to get a photography company or magazine, then yes, Photoshop could be for me.
The only reason I gave this 4 stars rather than 5 would be the installation. I are unsure about other users, but it absolutely was a pain. Im not new at all to installing software. But when I visited set this up, it mentioned an interface where I had to include info to acquire a code only I didnt get yourself a code. I had to jump through hoops. I finally reached it figured out and installed but it had been extremely annoying. Other than that, this is the good program.

The Pro with this product description isn't to be taken lightly. There are a huge quantity of features and also a steep learning curve. I suppose that someone who has used Photoshop before are going to be able to dive in, but an end user who is familiar with freebies like Paint or perhaps Irfanview is gonna have to shell out some time reading the manual and watching some tutorials.
That aside, there are LOTS of features in this particular software so if you're up to facing that learning curve, you will probably be able for great your photos for around half the cost.
One complaint: It creates its very own folder inside the root of My Documents to hold custom brushes, palettes, etc. in addition to being far as I can identify, there is no strategy to move it. This is very annoying-that will not be the stick it belongs and clutters up my very organized folder structure. This sort of thing belongs in APPDATA beneath a Corel folder structure.
