Look up painter 11 here on amazon, its probably limited to a limited time, however, you can get it around 70 bux! WOW! this is a deal and it is the right version to have.
OK, now for every individual whos been using this software for a while and is particularly wondering precisely what is new in version 12. Ive been using Painter since it turned out sold in a paint can. This program does what others only attempt. I frequently use Photoshop, and also other graphics programs, but painter stands alone. My only beef would be the occasional crash, I cant remember ever using a crash in Photoshop, but painter does maybe every I couldnt see creating 5 stars together with the crashing. But still the offer does some pretty cool stuff.
I want to mention the newest watercolor brushes. I use to try and do water color with brush and paint. Painter 12 has revamped their watercolor brushes, on previous releases I havent bothered together because they never appeared to work realistically. However in Painter 12, Its looking very realistic. The light Fringe Real Watercolor Brush lays down color great. It features a drying effect that pushes pigment on the edges and as well into the deep spots within the texture on the paper. Very cool! You should wait a short time to allow the strokes to dry, but from the old days I worked that has a hair dryer, coupled with to wait one or two minuets to dry areas, so waiting 10-seconds isnt really that big of deal it may be nice if it had been instantaneous though.
Another fantastic aspect is cloning now puts the origin picture in the project picture file, if you like to work with a piece on multiple sessions, you wont need to go hunt down the cause file again.
All in every, a terrific program. some real nice refinements about this release. But please Corel stabilize this system. The price is usually a premium, this software should be able to stand without stumbling the many time.
