Ive been using Painter since it turned out sold in a very paint can. This program does what others only attempt. I frequently use Photoshop, along with other graphics programs, but painter stands alone. My only beef would be the occasional crash, I cant remember ever which has a crash in Photoshop, but painter does maybe each I couldnt see creating 5 stars using the crashing. But still this system does some pretty cool stuff.
I want to mention the newest watercolor brushes. I use to accomplish water color with brush and paint. Painter 12 has revamped their watercolor brushes, on previous releases I havent bothered with these because they never gave the impression to work realistically. However in Painter 12, Its looking very realistic. The light Fringe Real Watercolor Brush lays down color great.
