Painter - - To me Corel Painter is definitely a tool to make art. An artist might start using a photograph or might start having a blank canvas however the end work products doesnt look being a real life photograph - it appears to be art. At the second Im mostly doing photo art, along with years Ive used Photoshop and a couple of other programs to the purpose. I always belief that I was wanting to cram a square peg right into a round hole. I see now Ive been with all the wrong tool. Photoshop is great for photo corrections-everything from exposure and white balance and batch processing to removing that stray garbage bag on the formal wedding photos oops-but for additional creative work, Ive been wrestling from it rather than working along with it. I should have saved Photoshop with the realistic work and tried Painter for that creative stuff.
Adapting to Corels workspace has become relatively easy. Icons obviously arent exactly exactly the same as Adobes, but similar functions have similar icons and therefore are easy enough to locate. Actually, I find Corels workspace for being a somewhat more intuitive than Photoshop, which is usually a little surprising if you ask me. And functions and features that happen to be new in my experience have kept me amused and inspired for just a month, and I havent explored them yet.
Brushes alone are incredible, so far Ive always found a brush to try and do what I need to complete, greater than I imagined. Particle brushes are intriguing, notable and distracting-its difficult to get things done if you're playing together with the particle brushes and I think that for random-ish natural effects theyll be a little more useful than I thought to start with. Flow maps add depth of control that Ive never imagined to hope for. Blenders a variety of and varied and could be adjusted. Im not entirely very pleased with them but I suspect I just havent figured out tips on how to do what I need to perform yet, and Ill arrive there with more time. Read more

This applications are WAY more than I will ever learn or need but Painter Essentials just wasnt enough.
