I am currently running 123R5 on both windows 2000 professional and windows XP. They both run OK having a couple of quirks; 1123 will crash within the Win2000 machine if I make an effort to edit a smarticon and a couple the WinXP machine will not permit me to see large panel to pick colors. Its there and yes it works but to the most part invisible. I am very concerned that someday my 123R5 can become obsolete and Im going being screwed since there are just some things I cant determine any other way to obtain done. Ive tried the harder recent versions, but some in the things I need arent there. I do just as much as I can on Excel, there are things I like concerning this, however the big drawback is Visual Basic vs. the 123 macros. There isn't comparison.

I got the Smartsuite 96 contains R5 of 123 today. I installed it in my XP machine.
When I first installed it, I tried installing the whole SmartSuite 96 package. I got one when I tried this. So, since Im not enthusiastic about anything but 123, I thought we would install with just 123 selected and zilch else.
This worked fine. 123 R5 is installed. I played around, tried the earlier Shift: for formatting and it also worked great. I cant explain to you how much I missed that. Tried adding through spreadsheet pages plus it worked fine. Now, I dont no if I can have problems from the future or otherwise not, but to date no crashes or anything.
One thing that in some way struck me was just how much my fingers remembered. It was amazing, like mowing the lawn. That is what I missed most about 123. All the things you'll be able to do minus the mouse that you have to make use of a mouse for with excel.
