I bought and downloaded Ver. 3 on 9/13/12, manufactured it became available. It was terrible through the start with slow, unstable and erratic performance. The hardware and software was approximately the task because was over a new MacBook Pro Retina with Mountain Lion.
I attempted to contact support web didnt obtain a response for any week. This was made up of only telling me to delete theplist file. That generated no change, in addition to requiring a lot more time spent recalibrating the mic and retraining the Dragon to recreate the deleted file. I answered support again after deleting the file as suggested, but didnt purchase an response in the reasonable time frame.
During this time, I called support and described the strange behavior I was experiencing with select and correct commands because it was occurring on my own screen. I believe the technician hung up on me as they didnt employ a solution. I called back and finished up on extensive hold. Finally, after in excess of an hour, I hung up.
After wanting to troubleshoot my system for a lot of more hours I saw no option and contacted customer service to get a refund, that has been granted. It was a product or service they were apparently depending around the user as a beta tester.

I contacted Nuance tech support to report the severe compatibility problem between Dragon Dictate 3.0 for Mac OS X and Microsoft Word 2008/2011. Ive read several user reviews of varied Nuance products for Mac within the last hour or so. After reading those reviews Im amazed that anyone would waste their on this system. One user review made the statement paraphrased that Nuance clearly doesn't have desire to make this system for Mac users really appealing it will be really appealing. Her statement made sense. However, as I became more accustomed to my MacBook Pro, I discovered that theres a very obvious basis for Nuance not to give a hoot about Dragon software for Mac. Mac features its own dictation software which is built-in to your Mac. I tried on the extender without any instructions and without having microphone! It didnt work perfectly I had no idea exactly what the commands were, nonetheless it seemed to be greater than what other reviewers were describing Nuance Dragon software. So I explored my Mac software commands as well as so far, so great.
I have an added comment concerning the Dragon/Nuance or whatever software. Ive used that software on the PC/Windows. It wasnt perfect, but beat the daylights beyond my typing. It performed more effective several years ago compared to the description on the current software for Mac.
My advice is always to fully explore the software program on your Mac prior to trying the Nuance/Dragon software for Mac. Just sayin!

I are already using Dragon products around 10 years. I have extensive knowledge about several versions of Naturally Speaking for Windows. So Im not a first time.
I was aware which the Mac version was meant to be less mature compared to the Windows version, but wasn't prepared for my experience using the product which is the fact its not less mature, its totally unusable. After installing and training it, it worked well for any couple of hours. The next day, and so on all subsequent days, its accuracy was a lesser amount of than it had been within the first day, and lower as opposed to accuracy on the Windows version with all the same style of training. Even worse, it hangs, to ensure the microphone chimes and cant be restarted without restarting this program. This happens regularly, about every a quarter-hour. This is on the fast Macbook running Yosemite.
In my personal, this supplement verges for the fraudulent. It is extremely annoying anytime spending 150 as well as a couple of hours looking to get the thing to be effective I will don't have any use from using it at all, and that I cant get my money back. Dont buy it.

Its just amazing for me when a companys attitude is only sc you. Sorry for your French but this product is awful since get-go. I was thrilled when Dragon took over, though Nuance is often a pretty crummy company, by their IOS apps. But I bought 3 reality I didnt work efficiently I soldiered on. But then no upgrade price to 4.0 and 4.0 doesnt run while using last three Mac systems. If you are a Mac user, avoid any Nuance programs until there exists some signal that they give you a damn relating to customers and their goods. Or maybe SIRI are certain to get good enough we are able to just wave goodbye to Nuance with this longest digit.

I purchased this product using the hope it could actually transcribe my professionally recording podcast. I experienced training the program and then let it run. The transcription was REALLY bad. Very normal words were wrongly transcribed as well as one point it Even Started Doing This With Every Word!!
This will not be ready for transcription. I use a Heil PR-40 professional top with the line recording equipment and process my files in Adobe Audition. So it cant get a lot cleaner. I processed uncompressed WAV files as well as the output only agreed to be REALLY poor.

Ive used Dragon Dictate 2.0 in this little MacBook for as much as 4 years with good accuracy once I completed your initial training on the program and myself. I was running Snow Leopard on my small 2008 MacBook. In 2014 I bought a brand new MacBook Air and that is running Mavericks. Dragon Dictate 2.0 has not been compatible using the new os so I upgraded to Dragon Dictate for Mac 4.0 Digital download through Amazon Digital services.
Right in the beginning I noticed two significant complications with Dragon Dictate 4.0. It would work effectively for short time it would type a number of gibberish as well as the cursor would randomly relocate various other location than in places you just finished the sentence. The second and much more significant problem to me was so it would not operate in text boxes when I was using Pages. I registered my product with Nuance and contacted them about these problems. The support services rep I spoke to informed me that Dragon Dictate 4.0 could not work with text boxes. This was obviously a major problem in my opinion because most of my documents medical charts contain data in a number of text boxes.
I requested a reimbursement from Nuance plus it looked like they'd provide me having a refund after I provided them proof of purchase, however, if they asked me to return the merchandise I told to them which it was a digital download through Nuance explained that Amazon Digital Services wasn't an authorized reseller of this device and that I should request a refund straight from Amazon. In my, this was obviously a bogus answer and Nuance only agreed to be passing the buck.
After explaining my situation to some customer service representative at Amazon, they provided me which has a full refund. Amazon has A1 support services.
So summing up, Im glad I purchased this system through Amazon because they supplied me with hassle free support services. Dragon Dictate 4.0 has some significant limitations does not be employed in text boxes, hence my one star review.
