I think Im able to quit have experienced Dragon software since its earliest days. I have 12 Premium and added the update to 12.5. I do not want FlexNet Connect on my own bogs my computer down significantly when I try and start WordPerfect. I cannot get 12 Premium to get started on after I have deleted and cleanse all references to FlexNet. I appears that some kernel on the FlexNet program is necessary to perform Dragon Naturally Speaking 12 Premium. I can only conclude Nuance has produced a choice. And now I make my choice: no longer Nuance products on my own computer because they apparently drag in FlexNet.
I accept those who are enraged over paying decent money for software only to discover that, minus the option of declining installation, an invasive, resource-intensive bit of junk such as FLEXnet update program is silently, secretly installed. I am a new customer to Nuance and Dragon Speak. If I could return it for store credit I would but it is not an option. Only unopened software might be returned.

I keep getting those STUPID ANNOYING pop-up windows and it appears to even run without appearing, but shows within the taskbar or Ive known to search for its presence somewhere when my pc response slows way down.
That software packages are a little bit of trash and also discourages me from upgrading completely to another version of Dragon.

I not only inside the files use window show Common Software Manger, but Dragon Service and FLEXnet Connect Agent files also. I wouldnt be so aggravated if Dragon filled me with a clue as how to handle it when this came. Why am I showing 2 other files in addition to Common Software Manager?
I noticed on install newbee that I could decline sending data which I did and I could also exit Connect Agent and software manager using task manager. I hate to dispose of the100 I just purchased Dragon which seems to function well after my first work out. Any advice?
This morning after boot I used task Manager to quit agent and manager, then tried to make use of Dragon 12 using a windows 8.1 computer.
