However that isn't why i want to to try this particular player out. Its because we are looking for any player which is able to experiment with HD-DVDs. And while Easy DVD player does it it lets you do so in the rather disappointing way.
After downloading the trial version i tested it out and yes it did seem to get able to read HD-DVDs and play them, unfortunately i ran directly into many issue with it.
First of there doesnt seem to become any interface control unlike with DVD or Bluray playback therefore it is pretty much impossible to navigate towards you through the menu to start a film, that's if you happen to be even able to acquire that far. Most with the discs which i tried did begin but the only thing i bought were colors no sound. A few other movies started with trailers first, i was competent to skip, then again i landed straight from the extra features from then on. Skipping all of them next or forward only provided me with more. Again, i didnt possess control in addition to stop, play, pause, forward and reverse.
One out with the five movies i used did start up into the main menu but because i couldnt traverse it or select anything i needed to sit against eachother in hope which it would start the movie eventually without looping the menu. It didnt loop however it did go into the additional features. So simply speaking, dont buy this if you wish to play HD-DVD. It does a negative job advertising.
Also, the program was at risk from crashing easily didnt close the whole lot before i'd eject a disc.
Ignore the guy that's complaining the reason is not free. This is wonderful the separate dash board is perfect.
