15.7 Well this install proved disastrous. It resized my screen too large then when set it time for proper aspects everything again was too large. Resized again and it also was like monster sized icons, As well it lost my garbage can. Uninstall failed to prove in any respect helpful coupled with to restore my cpu with a earlier time. Trash can appeared but the folders I had open were to date off screen I could not drag them back together to look up learn how to get them returning to middle on the screen. So all to all take your chances and create a restore point, all have windows closed if gonna try this out. I will loose time waiting for another release.

Finally hit a major problem with AMDs notorious Catalyst drivers: It seems my display driver will never be getting updated via these Catalyst Suites since a couple weeks after my fresh install of Windows 8 in 2012. I am still struggle to update the trucker through any from the newly released suites. Everything else is detected and capable of be installed. Manually updating graphics driver through Device Manager really does work, a minimum of.
No, I never used and driver cleaners try to simply installed the suite on top from the old one and allow it do the maintenance, the appropriate procedure via AMD.
Check to determine if your graphics driver can be getting updated with one of these suites, too. Its somewhat of a sneaky problem. Who would expect the primary driver not to ever be installed, especially after a period of problem-free Catalyst installs.

I installed the drivers with a fresh Windows 7 install. No other driver was installed, except one that came with Windows, default.
They may work using your card, and not with mine. Yes its my problem, these kinds of sites that, I think AMD has left much to need for.
The drivers should work, if theyre advertised to function.
AMD might go far, should they would invest more income and time, into their GPU drivers.

Similar problems as Elf, creates a bit of a mess, uninstalled it completely and in addition reinstalled 11.4 quickly and easily. 11.6 just isn't right, I would steer clear of it if I were you until you wish a 2 hour make it better job like I had.
I uninstalled the earlier, installed the modern, error after error, so I cleaned it, uninstalled it, then reinstalled it and same task, evenr cleansed registry etc. This softrware has issues especailly on my small machine, windows 7 X64 AMD Phenom II 2.93 ghz processor, 6 gig of ram, ati radeon HD 5450. Windows won't start correctly after installing, stated it recoverded over critical error. I uninstalled it complete, including old directories and registry and reinstalled 11.4 together with no problems by any means, installed correctly, to normal. Have no idea what's incorrect with 11.6 but around my estimation, someone won't know what they actually do. I have used ati for a long time and been a pc tech as many and also this is getting for being rather junky.
If you could have windows 7 x64 might or might not do this with your machines.
