I upgraded another Farstone product to Total Recovery Pro during one of these promotions about a month ago. I purchased my copy straight from Farstones website, not from Amazon. I was installing or attempting to install it on my own Windows XP Pro SP 3, 32-bit PC. Read this first before purchasing any Farstone backup software. There is NO customer service. I am giving this software a 1 hour, only because I cannot have a zero. I have been using Total Recovery 7 Pro and Farstone products for quite a while. All this time I believed the application was working.
On Jan 10 2012, my computer duplicated the hard drives on my own Vista 32 machine. At least I think it did. On Jan 12, my C drive crashed. I spent a number of days obtaining a new computer which naturally has Win 7 OS. I then started trying to have the Farstone software to revive the files I thought were copied. Of course I did not want the C drive restored I wanted the files restored to an alternative drive so I could recover the files I wanted and needed. On Jan 16th I sent a support ticket to Farstone because it would not restore my files. Their policy says they'll respond by 50 % days. After a week I sent another support ticket for help caused by not having been told by them. Since then I have sent several more tickets to Support stretching over many weeks. I have never heard in the support region of Farstone. I finally sent a request on the main office seeking someone to help. A Joseph Hotchkiss answered me and said I could send him my issue. I did. After a week I sent another request
My son installed Recovery 7 on his computer. When he needed it, it froze at 1%, rendering your computer worthless.
