We happen to be using FMP to own our business for since version1. It very seldom does, even so only with a single user since FM9. The server makes backups every half an hour of my most critical data, and so the most lost can be 30 minutes at work. I have 14 users running off an individual mac mini server. There are 34 databases, with multiple tables, the key database having over 200 layouts, 21 tables and more than 1200 fields. I have not rewritten the coding nearly as almost as much as I should resulting within a patchwork on the years with lots of inefficiencies as there are newer good ways built-in to your program that there familiar with be and work arounds not needed. All this plus the program keeps getting more stable over the updates.

We are actually running on 11.0v4 its our clients until just v12 now. We have encountered none with the issues you describe. We are running on iMacs. Our largest client can be a pension fund. They chance a monthly 7 million payroll. Payroll operates locally for 5 hours without just one issue. None in our clients have the problem you describe. You should investigate database corruption. Rebuild the schema over completely from scratch, export data, check exported data, then reimport it into a fresh clean uncorrupted file. Continuing to work with databases you have crashed in will still only make the problem worse. Look deeper for printer driver conflicts or some other software conflicts that is certainly causing the instability within the OS. Try performing a clean wipe the drive OS install and install FileMaker Pro and test that alone. FYI: Try using FilemakerPro client like a mini server.
