I have Finale notepad 2010 at your home and I started working away at a peice in Finale 2009 in school and then saved it over a flash drive and continued to function on it in the home. When I brought it time for school it wouldnt work considering that the school has a older version. How can I save it on my own computer thus it works within the school computer?

I are finding that Sibelius can translate music from Staff Notation to Tonic Solfa. I was in search of one as well as many years didnt be aware that my Sibelius 2 is capable of doing it. It wasnt until I downloaded Sibelius 5 Trial Version that I found that it could do Tonic Solfa. I have just discovered this yesterday and am thrilled concerning this.

Im creating 3 stars as it was cheap, and is very much very powerful, but my goodness would it be stupid and difficult to utilize. For example, Im attempting to record at a keyboard, also it knows Im recording from the keyboard, and knows it must be recording through to two staffs because Ive told it, as well as, duh, its recording from your keyboard, and it is showing two staffs, to help you see them, but records all of the notes on one staff. Sometimes, by chance, seemingly, it lets you do it correctly, but I havent worked out why. I cant imagine who programmed this, and why they wouldnt just be it automatic if you tell it youre recording from the keyboard, who's should record through to two staffs, and split which notes visit which staff at middle C. If the user desires to change on the default, fine, but build a sensible default that 99.99% of users would want to work with.
From reading other comments of other software, it would appear that theyre all horrible, so thats one more reason for not giving this lower marks.
There are dialog boxes missing OK buttons, just an x to seal them, so it's just not intuitive whether selections are saved or otherwise not. It just seems, generally speaking, like very power, and inexpensive, software, although not designed by somebody who understood elementary software design considerations.

I utilize it for lyrics and guitar chord notation, so me are pretty basic. I cant inquire into more complex arrangements or collaboration between composers, except for my simple needs, it really works well.

My elderly parents purchased many, and I installed it on their own older computer running Windows XP. First off, it takes Windows XP SP3, this also requirement just isn't specified anywhere for the box or inside documentation. They don't have internet, that was a huge problem for software activation. I thought I could simply install it on my own computer to have the Authorization Code that I could then relay directly to them. No dice, once it has been activated online, the Authorization Code isn't available. My only solution here's to actually call their tech support line for getting an Authorization Code. I understand that they are wanting to prevent software piracy, nonetheless they ruined the consumer experience from the process. Will not invest in again.
