I upgraded from classic Microsoft Flight Simulator to the edition recently. MFS only gets better and. The best part from the software to me is its incredible adaptability and expansion opportunities. There are a multitude of software packages available for purchase to add on it and loads of files online sites to download. I have spent hours alone downloading an enormous fleet of aircraft! If you doubt your personal computer is fast enough for MFS 2000 and the price is usually to high today, this can be a stunning substitute for that meantime.
The only criticism I can level on the product may be the manual. The 98 editions manual is usually a thin leaflet by maps inside and instructions for installation. My classic editions manual was thick with instructions on flight and aircraft parts. This info now appears from the Inside Moves book that Microsoft sells. A gimmic to have you to purchase more? Perhaps. But the product is so stellar, the gimmic is absolutley tolerable. I bought it too.

Microsoft Flight sims have been top from the line, and FS98 isn't a different. You can manage a selection of planes, including a 737. The planes are enjoyable to fly, along with the frame rates are smooth. In FS95, you can fly outside of only 200 airports, in FS 98 that number has jumped to 2000. One bad thing about the game, is the planes are extremely difficult to control and not using a joystick. It could take a 737 around 10 secs to respond towards the command angle nose up. With a joystick however, these controls respond well and smoothly. Another bad aspect in the game may be the ground. In urban areas it really is very detailed, however in rural areas, it can be a mass of big blocks. Flight Simulator 98 is usually a great buy, and it also still continues to be the best. Enjoy!

When I bought MS Flight Simulator for windows 95, an adult version of Flight Simulator, I was really glad I did. It isn't feasible to navigate in FS98. Graphics are detailed, though the buildings and also the land doesn't have any height! Its like flying spanning a map. You do not have full control on the aircraft, but you do have control on the rudder, elevators, alierons, spoilers, flaps, autopilot, pitot heat, and thrust.
