Ill bear this despite an undesirable review on Amazon, I bought this device. I received it promptly, I installed the respected Pinnacle Studio v14 software FIRST, in my computer, AS INSTRUCTED. I connected the Canon DV tape camcorder towards the Dazzle with all the AV Out cable that came together with the camcorder originally, plugged the Dazzle to a front-mounted USB port on my pc, launched Studio, and imported 6 years old video from tape to disk by just hitting the play button around the I have a great deal more work to do for video editing, but this beats the HELL beyond installing a unit specific capture card. I cant create a simpler method to capture tape-based video. You can choose from a assortment of file outputs, I used AVI and Ill probably experiment more and utilize whatever burns to DVD the most effective for HD tv viewing. I was dreading the pain sensation of capturing old video, but it's made it less of a challenge than I expected, at the very reasonable cost taking into consideration the hardware/software package you obtain. In fact, it truely does work well enough that Im ready to stick with my DV tape camera for a time longer. More importantly I have old but top quality video of family, dogs and fun that I can now capture and save to DVD.

Well I purchased the product a few days ago for recording montages and the like off my xbox 360 system. The installation was simple and only took a few moments. When I recorded my first gameplay from my xbox. I had fames dropped and experienced a bunch of audio lag, that has been a major problem. I messaged pinnacle studios and so they help me out plenty although they take too much time to respond within the live chat. But after I changed a couple of settings in Studio 14 HD it truly does work phenomenally. Another great feature of this supplement is the Pinnacle Studios 14 HD is extremely easy to use and is also way better then windows movie maker and possesses some great features watch the tutorial videos they demonstrate you some cool features. It is definitely a terrific product and overall I provide it with 4 stars. I would have 5 stars, but I do experience audio lag occasionally when I am recording from my xbox 360 system.

The Dazzle HD is usually a joke. Its the same device because previous Dazzle. They just threw within the HD part to trick consumers. The HD part only reflects this system it comes with. Yes, this software Pinnacle Studio is HD, nevertheless the Dazzle itself does NOT capture HD quality video.
The best way it can capture HD quality video is when it is wired through Component cables or HDMI. The dazzle offers none of computer. It only offers S-Video and provide HD quality

I purchased this package making sure that my son could record from his Xbox and learn some video editing. When it arrived, I installed the program and tested it with my cam corder to make sure that it was working properly. The install gave the impression to go fine over a Windows 7 laptop - I plugged inside hardware, the drivers installed, as well as the device was recognized. Dazzle is what it truly is. I mean, Im upset that they can called this HD, given it definitely isnt, however its an okay capture card. I have not a clue what it is together with the bad reviews where people cant find the card to operate. Its not dazzles fault you dont understand how to use a pc, lol.
The card is okay, I have a good amount of edits Ive done on youtube, which I would connection to show you the high quality but Im not positive that Im capable to. Oh well Ill try, youtube dot com slash seed419. You can see PLENTY of degrees of what the output will look like from a dazzle HD in case you connect it to an xbox 360 system with composite video cable. Im not sure yet if S video produces a big difference, however the cable I need is kinda expensive so screw it.
Anyway, rambling here I guess. Card is meh, quality isnt amazing, neither may be the video editing software. If you want REAL HD quality, youre best getting a high end capture card than dazzle. Look within my videos Ive posted, and select if thats okay to you. Me, Im finding a REAL capture card soon, but Im delighted by what time I spent with my dazzle ;

This product was not really worth it. I got a new Dazzle to record gameplay with my Xbox 360, although the package didnt repeat the resolution who's could record. I was thinking AT LEAST 720p. Well, I got home, completed it out, but found out it absolutely was only 480p. I then purchased a Dazzle Platinum HD, thinking it might be capable to record in higher quality, but nope, still only 480p. I spent 40.00 more around the Platinum HD. I then contacted the customer service and popped a ticket, explaining my situation, and asking if it turned out possible to record in a very higher resolution. Well, days passed, whilst still being no answer. After four to five days, my ticket got closed with out a response. I would never recommend the Dazzle or even the company who manufactures it to anyone.

I purchased the platinum version 15 of Dazzle Video Creator only to find so it would not download any one my 8mm camcorder tapes or possibly a standard VHS analog tape. After a couple of days of fiddling with all the product and verifying that my hardware equipment was in working order, I experimented with contact Pinnacle for help to find that my help option had expired and from now on I needed to purchase any help which they may or may not produce. That is just not the method to do business and positively adds suspect on the product. Now I have to spend the money for postage to go back this inferior and non working product.

After receiving my dazzle the way it is seemed open product case not packaging and stapled back shut. There was extra staple holes beside where the current staples. I figured it could of been a miss order and opened it anyways. The software it had was much more of an annoyance to put in and required or possibly even longer the instructions said before by using this dazzle. I did and after 10 mins give or take of in search of my old AV meet up cables that sported my xbox360 I was all hooked and ready to perform some test recordings. Or not, the application that sported it wouldnt discover the xbox initially and after the reset, a troubleshoot or 2 later that it was atleast showing up in my computer. Then no sound and yes it wouldnt allow me to record. After searching whole body message I found out that it was a webcam error message and analyzed a fix. Nope still giving me that error so I switched to my Sony Vegas which I use to edit my fraps recorded videos and experimented with use it to record this webcam it found the xbox360 first try and said another program was utilizing it. Well I uninstalled every one of the programs that came with all the dazzle and tried again. Same error so I stopped and boxed it support. I bet other people got a dazzle with 2 extra staple holes now.

I manipulate Pinnacle to edit video for upwards of 12 years. I started with version 7, then 9, now 15 with Dazzle. All is working wonderfully. With Dazzle I can send video from my camera or from my VCR or DVD player into my computer, and it also I am using Windows 8.

Ive tried four different USB video capture dongles which one really works. The software that is certainly included works also. The others, that may go unnamed including a popular name brand, were a disappointment with either the application, the hardware or both.
Due to your relatively low video quality, I have dumped this supplement for one that has a HDMI input.

I used Dazzle products for quite some time with mixed results and reviews. This one delivered. I don't use anything but the basic functions so I cant discuss many from the features but I can tell you it accepts many formats and above all for me it could output to VCD or DVD. I loaded this with a brand new system also it creates files in a short time and burns to disc just like fast.

I still the Dazzle, and I want to continue making use of it to capture video from my lower-res consoles GC, N64, Genesis, SNES, NES, maybe PSX and PS2. While I have since bought an Elgato Game Capture HD make use of for capturing PS3 and Xbox 360 video still testing that out, fo the time being it seems great, I actually will most likely keep while using the Pinnacle Studio 15 HD program which was included together with the Dazzle to edit the car stereo recorded together with the Elgato. At least the hardware works using another companys app. Video only runs in preview window with or without the audio cords that come with DVC 80. Need to try it out with audio cords direct from VCR on the computers audio card inputs.
