DW8 did a reasonably decent job of converting Word to HTML, but CS3 seems to obtain a much bigger wrong; I actually need to do considerably more clean up work now when I complete a cut/paste from Word, it's especially bad in terms of converting lists in comparison to DW8.
Even if your bugs were addressed within a patch, I think that overall, this is often a very disappointing upgrade, there really isnt anything compelling enough to justify moving from DW8. I would give this 5-stars whether or not this was an upgrade from Dreamweaver MX, but just as one upgrade from Dreamweaver 8, its hardly worth your time and energy.

If you're a descent software user, the type of person who enjoys learning applications, then I recommend Dreamweaver CS3. I used whole process almost to build my first website and I do not possess been able to acheive it without many. This software programs are slower and also a little more glitchy than Macromedia Studio 8.
If youre using Studio 8 theres not any real compelling reason to upgrade. Its losing money, IMO. Flash CS3 generally seems to be an excellent product up to now however.

I just like the program but web layout with Dreamweaver may be frustrating if you're familiar while using ease of layout in Adobe InDesign. Adobe should hide the restrictions of HTML better and enable text and graphics being freely placed without using tables. It can even be especially frustrating to format text in certainly not simple ways.
I hope Adobe can better integrate InDesign functionality with Dreamweaver as well as allow InDesign pages being converted to your web page.

Ive been using Dreamweaver for many years now. Overall its a good product. The only issue I have with it can be its FTP connectivity. At times the connectivity is efficient at others it appears to must reestablish its connection causing downtime. However, it isn't really a result of the software program itself but an ISP issue. In either case, its possibly the best product about the market.
