Reno sends me an EXCEL spreadsheet because of the competitors information, including aircraft and type, class, pilots name and area, alternate pilots name, color, race number and sponsor information. There is additional info I dont require. I can import the file into FMP, sort it by aircraft race class, then I can output each record in race-number order as being a list inside a particular format, in such a case, into 2 by 8 1/2 strips which I output onto 8 1/2 x 11 paper. Then I take those sheets to my local friendly Office Max store and possess them copied onto various colors of heavy paper, then cut towards the 2-inch size. I have utilized Filemaker as main data base since version 5. Upgrade from version 9 is really worth cost. Ease of layout changes, more flexibility in find functions, etc. Did not opt to upgrade to version 12 currently due to Mac main system upgrade requirements that are included with utilizing Filemaker 12. Learning curve to look from 9 to 11 seems modest in comparison with other Filemaker version upgrades I have experienced

Ive used two versions from the program over two OSs on 6 different computers for upwards of 2 years while using same problem. Having a developer fix my problems is moot since a well-oiled and coded databasing system shouldnt need a whole lot of repair. All of your excuses for why the database crashes are already troubleshot and therefore are not the challenge here. Its merely a glitchy program. Also, checking the menu to avoid wasting a copy as is usually a lot diverse from control or command S. And when you might be working on countless entries where time is very important, its useful to possess simple options this way. Finally, I dont need to understand why you think tools arent offered. I need the instruments. Period. As for a 99% satisfaction rating, maybe you should read the other ratings. FMPro won't get stellar reviews and for good reason.

We have used FMP to own our business for since version1. It very seldom does, even so only using a single user since FM9. It auto-saves any time you click out of your record, so merely the current entry is lost put a commit button into do a quick manual save if required. The server makes backups every half-hour of my most critical data, therefore the most lost can be 30 minutes of training. I have 14 users running off just one mac mini server. There are 34 databases, with multiple tables, the key database having over 200 layouts, 21 tables as well as over 1200 fields. I have not rewritten the coding nearly as almost as much ast I should resulting in the patchwork through the years with many inefficiencies as there are newer possible ways built-in for the program that there used for being and work arounds no more needed. We are already running on 11.0v4 rather than our clients until recently v12 now. We have encountered none on the issues you describe. We are running on iMacs. Our largest client is really a pension fund. They operate a monthly 7 million payroll. Payroll operates locally for 5 hours with no single issue. None individuals clients have the matter you describe. You should investigate database corruption. Rebuild the schema yourself, export data, check exported data, then reimport it into a brand new clean uncorrupted file. Continuing to work with databases that you might have crashed in is only going to make the problem worse. Look deeper for printer driver conflicts or any other software conflicts that may very well be causing the instability inside the OS. Try carrying out a clean wipe the drive OS install and install FileMaker Pro and test that alone. FYI: Try using FilemakerPro client as being a mini server. This is just not a problem while using updater, it is often a problem along with your OSX spotlight index. Your spotlight index is most likely damaged. Download Onyx and rehearse it to remove/rebuild your spotlight index and earn sure you reboot. This should fix your complaint.
