7 was buggy beta. 8 is quite a bit improved. maintain the good work and please incorporate more into your window w/improved dictionary/thesaurus/spell check. almost excellent without bugs.
I got Final Draft back when it turned out 7.0.X cant quite can recall the exact version number that's X. Given that a lot of people had were not impressed with how it had been buggy, I was a tad nervous about this, however it caused not many problems for me. I quite enjoyed it.
Then 7.1 became available. This fixed essentially the many bugs I had to face and added a new features.
And then there seemed to be 7.1.1, the update that merely completely screwed up the applying, and is also the source of most with the complaints that I see inside reviews. It wouldnt export in some from the formats I wanted without crashing, if I tried scrolling down while using the cursor it left these weird lines behind not inside text itself, but within the document. It also sometimes wouldnt refresh correctly, leaving deleted text apparently into it even though it turned out deleted. Fortunately, I contacted the support along with something that returned it to 7.1, so I enjoyed making use of it again.
The very good news: The bugs I had to cope with in 7.1.1 have died it seems.
The not so good news: This update requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later. It seems that whoever has an earlier version and had to manage 7.1.1 cant update to this particular. As a favor with a friend, I opted for convert his hand-written screenplay in to the digital domain. Someone else tried with Word. It wasnt pretty. Once a few pages to the job, Final Draft already perceived to know what I was required to do next.
