This isnt a casino game, instead a proper simulation package. Practice your flight maneuvres for playing in other flight games and have the feeling of assorted aircraft. The non-existent graphics result in the sim ultra-fast and makes one focus about the flight and never the sight. Perfect.

I am a standard aviation pilot, flying single engine fixed wing Cessna type aircraft 4 seater. Flight Simulator X gives the sense of actually piloting an aircraft. The plane responds to your controls much such as real thing.
Like other reviewers, I must agree that you will need to have a great computer. I have a very dual processor Pentium D 940 running 3.2 Ghz, 4 gb RAM, 512 mb NVIDIA graphic card. On my system, with set to their maximum graphics and scenery, it runs wonderfully, with only an slight bump in frame-rates. I am somewhat disappointed together with the scenery, that's good in leading cities, but nonetheless basic inside country-side. The terrain is a great one everywhere, though the structures lack detail in apart from the cities. The detail on airport runways and taxiways is terrific! Aircraft list is extensive. I recommend it.

I got my copy with this edition a while back. The last copy of FS I owned was the 2000 version so I was ready ready to have an upgrade! I dropped the 1st DVD in and installed it; it took a great half an hour to obtain through seventy one DVDs. Then I fired up. I was immediately prompted for which kind of user was I - novice, experienced FS user or perhaps an actual Pilot. I picked novice as Id not played an activity like this one in a minimum of four a few years needed each of the help I could get. It then talked me though some basics and ok, i'll control an airplane already inside air at some time and that was cool - easy intro; I was exploring the plane from behind so no confusing instruments or what-have-you. Felt just like an accomplishment!
After this it suggested I go over the tutorials, and explained where to find them, although I was itching to just pull off from a smaller airport near my home in a very Cessna or something that is and just get flying, maybe search for my house - I resisted the impulse and dutifully found the initial mission.
It was within a microlite, and that is nice and very easy to see away from, which has been already flying inside the air in the event the mission started. I just were required to navigate it though some huge green squares hanging improbably in mid-air, which I nearly managed as soon as the second go.
