The recent version of ZoneAlarm caused my old HP laptop running on XP to hold rebooting. After uninstalling ZoneAlarm, my old faithful laptop will continue to work with virtually no problem.
As for Avast which I have tried over a new laptop, it would be to intrusive, marking a good exe file coming from a printer driver as the herpes virus. When you download an exe file from your Internet, furthermore, it blocks it without supplying you with a choice.
Now I use Panda anti-virus. Hope to directory this one. Reviews this way should help developers improve on the software.
