I purchased Ghost 15.0 because it absolutely was billed as appropriate for Windows 7 both by Symantec and Microsoft. However, attempted installation produced error 2738. Could not access VBScript run time for custom action. Four hours with technical support still did not resolve problem. The technical staff elevated it towards the engineering team who never responded my phone battery went dead while waiting over thirty minutes on hold. Finally, I got agreement for the refund.
While the tech support team staff perceived to not be familiar using this type of problem, by themselves users community site I found out that this can be a well know problem with Ghost 15.0 which the tech support team staff routinely refers on the engineering team who never respond.
I stongly recommend against purchasing Ghost 15.0 for Windows 7 users.

I dont usually post product critiques. I am too busy and yes it is rare that something impresses me enough to accomplish this, but Ghost 15 warrants time. This is without doubt the best version of Ghost yet. It even bests Ghost 2003, which had been my previous tool of simply for its flexibility. I have used the next versions of Ghost within the years: 2003, 9, 10, 12, and 14. I have imaged the next windows versions with some other versions of Ghost: 2000, XP, Vista x86 and x64, 7 x64, Server 2000, 2003, 2003 R2 x64, 2008 x64.
Built-in windows utilities do a little backup and restore functions, however they pale in comparison on the power, simplicity of use, flexibility, compression options, etc to Ghost 15. It is really worth 50!!! The capability to create images through the Recovery CD is ALONE definitely worth the price to upgrade from version 14. You are also in a position to create customized recovery CDs. The recovery CD creation wizard automatically slipstreams any storage drivers you provide which might be unique for your hardware. The power to create VMware ESX and Hyper-V images is a promising feature I am desperate to test. Scheduling backups is nice to get not new, version 14 had this, although not something I utilize much. I mostly do manual backups of baseline and incremental development images within a test environment.
Recovery CD image creation returns with Ghost 15, and it is better than ever! For reasons I dont pretend to understand probably inside interest of software sales, Symantec removed the power to create images in the Recovery CD after Ghost 2003. This, for my uses, seriously limited the softwares overall utility. Read more

Didnt work just like the old Ghost, couldnt transfer my old drive to my brand new one.
Worked as advertised, not problems.
