Sound as being a hardware propblem. Mine was doing exactly the same thing. Problem was the hard disk was failing. Could also be you're not meeting the minimum specs running it. Windows 7 needs at the very least a 2ghz processor and 4gb of ram

Ive been using win7 because it came out plus it hasnt had any of these problems. If you took the short while it takes to disable the backdrop sounds they wouldnt become a problem. Please dont write a review by using an OS you obviously don't know anything about. Also as being a side note windows was set up for the more professional interface compared to macs witch is a bit more of an entertainment interface.

Absolutely beautiful and easy make use of.
Recently upgraded from Vista, clean install as I did something stupid plus it made the OS explode, windows 7 would be a really nice change, and Im actually glad I upgraded now.
Not an enormous change from Vista. I had no issues with vista before I upgraded, but Windows 7 is actually a nice change. Its a whole lot faster just as one OS and I was rather glad to have rid on the crapware in my old OS when I did this clean install.
