Version 3.5 of Empire Deluxe continues to be upgraded to operate on the current day Microsoft Windows Operating Systems 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP. It also has new graphics, which you'll want to edit and change, in addition to a host of other configuration enhancements.
The user JR is plain wrong, Empire arrived before Global Conquest. The Empire Deluxe game was your second round from the Empire series and in some cases better than the very first. It has nearly infinite replay value. I still own a genuine copy, inside box, of Empire Deluxe. Its an excellent game.
Empire was created in circa 1978 and was obviously a precursor to Global Conquest.
This version is really a cool remake with the original ED of New World Computing. Now now you may play it in a windows platform.
Not very flashy game but very addictive.

In 1993, New World Computing, Inc. publishes Empire Deluxe, a historical battle specific/exact, editorconstruction set, world war 2 game with the DOS system. Offering strategy genre, it is currently an abandonware.
I am still playing Empire Deluxe on Apple computers. I just loaded OSX 10.4.11 Tiger, with Classic OS 9, onto my old 17 Mac G4 PowerBook. Had to tweak OS a lttle bit at first, nonetheless it runs and Im enjoying it again. My diskette was dated 1994.
One in the first platform, based around the Board game. In fact, it becomes an updated version on the classic game Empire, adapted to your modern 1993 computers. The objective in the game would be to capture the entire world using land, air and Maritime units. In the beginning you may choose the sort of rules, which is going to be the game. Graphics are almost there, and that is not surprising to the platform.
This is THE Empire game that spawned all the rest AOE, AOK, Empire Earth etc. SImple rules, all to easy to learn but will take time to master.
