Oct 17, 2014 was a crucial date for many people SEOs, webmasters, and businesses. Penguin, which weve been waiting over a whole year for, began to roll out. Googles Gary Illyes explained at SMX East that Penguin 3.0 was imminent, so it would be a delight for webmasters, who's would be a brand new algorithm, plus more. So we all eagerly awaited the arrival of Penguin 3.0.
There remained many questions on the next version of Penguin. For example, why has it taken such a long time to update Penguin, would there be collateral damage, will it actually have new signals, would it unveil more frequently, plus more? So when we had the first indications of Penguin rolling out, most of us dug in and begun to analyze both recoveries and fresh hits. I had just gotten back from SES Denver, where I was presenting about Panda and Penguin, hence the timing was interesting as you would expect.:
Since the algorithm is rolling out slowly, I needed plenty of time and data to evaluate the initial update, and after that subsequent tremors. And I m glad I waited ten days to post a post, since there were several interesting updates already. Now that had been ten days in to the rollout, as well as some tremors have occurred, I believe I have enough data to write down my first post about Penguin 3.0. And its probably the very first of several as Penguin continues to unveil globally.
Mountain View, We Have a Problem
Based about the long delay of Penguin, that it was clear that Google was having issues with all the algo. Nobody knows precisely what the problems were, however, you can reckon that the results during testing were under optimal. The signature of previous Penguin algorithms is extremely acute thus far. It targeted spammy one way links on inferior websites. Compare that for an extremely complex algorithm like Panda, and you may see clear differences
But Panda is all about on-site content, rendering it less subject to tampering. Penguin, within the other hand, is approximately external links. And those links might be manipulated. The more Penguin updates that rolled out, a lot more data you may gain about its signature. And that can cause very nasty things happening. For example, launching negative SEO campaigns, adding any site to a host of inferior sites which were previously influenced by Penguin, etc. All of that will muddy the algorithm waters, which may result in a lot of collateral damage. I wont harp on negative SEO in the following paragraphs, but I wished to bring it. I do believe that have a big effect on why Penguin took so very long to reveal.
Im likely to quickly provide bullets listing what we should know until now about Penguin 3.0 after which jump to my findings based on the very first ten days from the rollout. I need to explain what Ive seen inside the Penguin trenches, including recoveries, fresh hits, along with interesting tidbits Ive seen across my travels. In addition, I need to explain the danger of crossing algorithms, which can be going on today. Ill explain more details on Penguin, Panda, and Pirate all roaming the online world at precisely the same time, as well as the confusion that induce. Lets dig in.
Its a refresh and never an update. New signals weren't added. You can read more to do with the differences from a refresh boost from Marie Haynes.
It has to be slow and steady rollout which takes weeks to accomplish. More about Penguin tremors soon.
There was more international impact initially. Then I saw an uptick in impact during subsequent Penguin tremors.
Google is very quiet concerning the update. Thats strange given the magnitude of Penguin 3.0, the time we have waited, etc. I cover more details on the future of Penguin later in this posting.
We at the moment are ten days into your Penguin 3.0 rollout. Based about the nature with this update, I didnt want to post a post straight away. I wanted more data, a chance to track many sites in the rollout as a way to gauge the impact, fresh hits, and recoveries. And thats just what exactly Ive done since early Saturday, October 18. Penguin began rolling the night before and theres been a great deal of movement after that.
When Penguin first rolled out, that it was clear to me who's would be a improvements are modest rollout. I asserted from the beginning. I knew there seemed to be potential for disaster from Googles standpoint, so there is no way they would unveil it globally simultaneously. Instead, I believed they will start rolling out Penguin, heavily analyze the SERPs, adjust the algo where needed, and push more updates and expand. If youve been following my writing during the last few years, then you already know I refer to this as phenomenon tremors. I have noticed this often with Panda, and particularly since Panda 4.0. Those tremors were even confirmed by Googles John Mueller.
Specifically with Penguin, I have experienced several tremors since the primary rollout on 10/17. There was significant movement on 10/22, and after that I saw a lot more movement on 10/24. Some sites seeing early recovery saw more impact over the subsequent tremors, while other sites saw their first impact from Penguin during those later tremors.
For example, one client I helped with both Panda and Penguin jumped at the beginning Friday 10/24. You are able to see their trending below. They are up 48% since Friday:
Thats awesome, and was amazing to view especially for the business enterprise owner. They been employed very hard in the last year to completely clean up the website on several fronts, including content, links, mobile, etc. Its great to view that hard work be worthwhile via multiple algorithm updates they recovered from Panda in May during Panda 4.0 and after this during Penguin 3.0. Its been a superb year for the children for sure.:
Moving forward, I fully expect to determine more tremors as being the global rollout continues. That can often mean sites seeing fresh impact, although some see more movement beyond the very first date that Penguin 3.0 impacted their sites. For example, a website may recover or get hit on 10/17, but see movement up or down during subsequent tremors. Weve already seen this happen and this will continue over the rollout.
More Recoveries During Penguin 3.0
For those battling Penguin for a long period some since Penguin 2.0 on May 22, 2013, this is a much-anticipated update. Some companies Ive been helping been employed hard within the last few 12-18 months to scrub up their link profiles. That means nuking unnatural links and utilizing the disavow tool heavily to rid their website of spammy links.
For people unfamiliar with link cleanup, the operation is tedious, painful, and frustrating. And of course, you'll have the nasty replicating links problem, which I have seen more often than not with spammy directories. Thats when unnatural links replicate across other cheap directories. Websites Ive been helping on this situation must continually analyze and clean their link profiles. You simply cant get rid in the problem quickly or easily. Its an unpleasant reminder never to go down the spammy linkbuilding path again.
For example, here s a site that have hundreds of spammy links pop up from the fall of 2014. They had little idea this was taking
When sites which have been working challenging to rectify their link problems experience a Penguin recovery, its a fantastic feeling. Some in the sites Ive been helping have experienced a nice bounce-back via Penguin 3.0. Ill quickly cover a couple of those recoveries below.
The first is undoubtedly an ecommerce retailer that unfortunately took a risky path a two years ago. They hired several SEO companies spanning a number of years each ended up building countless spammy links. Its an identical story thats been seen frequently since Penguin first arrived. You know, an SMB attempting to compete within a tough space, winds up following the wrong strategy, does well within the short-term, then gets pummeled by Penguin.
The site wasn't in good shape once they first contacted me. So we tackled the unnatural link profile directly. I heavily analyzed their link profile, flagged many spammy links, that they had a small team focusing on link removals, and whatever couldnt be removed was disavowed. We updated the disavow file several times more than a four to five month period.
But, this also is a point way too many Penguin victims will probably be familiar with, we had arrived done with link cleanup work within the spring of 2014! Yes, there was done everything we might, however needed a Penguin refresh or update. Surely that may happen soon, right? No way. We had to wait patiently until October 17, 2014 with the to happen. The good news is that site saw positive impact immediately. You are able to see the increase in impressions and clicks below starting on 10/17. And Google organic readers are up 52% since Penguin rolled out.
The next recovery Ill quickly explain began on 10/17 and saw subsequent increases throughout the various Penguin tremors I mentioned earlier. They saw distinct movement on 10/17, 10/22, then 10/25. The site saw a reasonably big hit from Penguin 2.0 and after that another significant hit from Penguin 2.1 where Google turned in the dial. The websites link profile was riddled with exact match key phrases from substandard quality sites.
The site owner actually removed or nofollowed a superb percentage of unnatural links. You are able to see the impact below. Notice the uptick in trending throughout the various tremors I mentioned.
I must admit, though, I know of numerous companies that remain waiting for Penguin recovery that will recover during Penguin to many level. They worked hard much like the companies I in the above list. They cleaned up their link profiles, heavily used the disavow tool, worked tirelessly to correct their Penguin problem, but never have seen any impact yet from Penguin 3.0. And many other programs have been complaining in regards to the same thing. But again, Google said the whole rollout could take weeks to finish so its feasible for they will recover, but eventually over the following few weeks.
Its worth noting that certain client of mine battling Penguin designed a huge mistake prior to Penguin 3.0. They chose to update their disavow file in late September without my help, along with the file contained serious errors. They didnt catch that upon submission. I found themselves noticing something strange within the email from Google Webmaster Tools in connection with number of domains being disavowed. The total volume of domains being recorded by GWT would be a few hundred a lot less than what was listed inside disavow file prior to latest submission. And those extra few hundred domains encompass countless spammy links. I contacted my client immediately and they also rectified the disavow file errors quickly and re-uploaded it.
The website has never recovered yet though it absolutely should with a level. I have not a clue if that disavow glitch threw off Penguin, or if this web site is simply awaiting a Penguin tremor to get better. But its worth noting.
Now lets proceed to the gloomy of Penguin 3.0. There have already been many fresh hits since 10/17 and Ive been heavily analyzing those drops. It didnt take long to determine that the standard link tactics were being targeted a lot like previous versions of Penguin. And my research supports that Penguin 3.0 became a refresh instead of a new algorithm.
For example, exact match keywords links from spammy directories, marketing with articles, comment spam, forum spam, etc. Every fresh hit I analyzed yielded a terrible link profile with your tactics. These were clear Penguin hits I could tell simply by looking at the keywords distribution them to be in serious Penguin danger.
For example, heres the keywords distribution for a niche site hit by Penguin 3.0. Notice all with the exact match keywords?
For folks new to SEO, it's not what a natural link profile appears to be. Typically, there is very little exact match keywords, brand terms turn up heavily, urls are widely-used to link to pages, generic phrases, etc. If your top twenty key phrases terms are stuffed with exact match or rich anchortext, then you're sending fresh fish signals to Google. And Google will respond by sending a crew of Penguins your path. The end result will never be pretty.
I must admit that some fresh hits stood out, but not in a great way. For example, I found one site that started its spammy linkbuilding just 2 days after Penguin 2.1 rolled out in October of 2013! Holy cow the company owner didnt waste whenever, right? Either they didnt be familiar with Penguin or these people were willing to have a huge risk. Regardless, this site got destroyed by Penguin 3.0.
I help keep showing you fresh hit information, however, you have access to bored. They all look similar spammy links from substandard quality sites using exact match key phrases. Many on the hits I analyzed were Grade-A Penguin food. Its such as sites lobbed a softball at Penguin, and Google knocked it out with the park.
At SMX East, Gary Illyes explained that this new Penguin algorithm was structured in a very way where Google could update Penguin more often similar to Panda. All signs point to your refresh with Penguin 3.0, so Im not sure well see Penguin updating regularly at night rollout. Thats unfortunate, since we waited over one year to find out this refresh
Also, John Mueller was asked within a webmaster hangout if Penguin would update more often. He responded how the holiday season is approaching and so they wouldnt desire to make for example fuss. If that s the truth, only then do we are looking at January since the earliest date for your next Penguin refresh or update. So, we've got a a minimum of three to four months before we come across a Penguin refresh or update. And it may well take longer, given Googles track record with all the Penguin algorithm. It wouldnt shock me to see the subsequent update within the Spring of 2015.
Important The Crossing of Algorithm Updates Penguin, Panda, and Pirate
In earlier times, I have explained the confusion that will occur when Google rolls out multiple algorithm updates about the same time. The algorithm sandwich from April of 2012 can be a great example, Google rolled out Panda, Penguin, after which another Panda refresh all within 10 days. It caused massive confusion and several sites were even hit by both algos. I called that Pandeguin and wrote about this here.
Well, we're also seeing that again at the moment. Penguin 3.0 rolled from 10/17, the most recent version of Pirate rolled out late yesterday, and Im confident we were treated to a Panda tremor starting late within the day on Friday 10/24. I had several clients managing Panda problems see impact late on 10/24 starting around 5PM ET.
I is able to see the Panda impact based within the large volume of Panda data I have use of across sites, categories, and countries. But the average entrepreneur does not have use of that data. And Google will typically not confirm Panda tremors. So, if webmasters saw affect Friday and Im sure many have, then serious confusion will ensue. Were they hit by Penguin, Panda, or even for some sites managing previous DMCA issues, maybe it was actually Pirate?
Update: I now have all the more data backing a Panda tremor late on 10/24. I had Paul Macnamara and Michael Vittori explain they may be seeing the same principle. They also provided screenshots of trending for both sites. You are able to see with Michael s which the site got hit through the 9/5 Panda update, but recovered on Friday. Paul s screenshot shows a definite uptick on 10/25 on the site suffering from Panda no Penguin or Pirate impact in any respect.
And this underscores a significant problem to the average webmaster. If you work towards fixing your website based for the wrong algorithm, they you may undoubtedly spin your SEO wheels. Ive seen this more often than not over the years, and spinning wheels simply waste money, time, and resources.
If you saw impact the 2009 week, you need to make certain you know which algorithm update impacted your internet site. Its not easy, when three external algos are roaming the online world all at one time. But its important to assess your situation, your research history, and determine what you have to do so as to recover.
I couldnt write a post about Penguin 3.0 point out negative SEO. The fear using this latest update was that negative SEO would rear its ugly head. Many thought that this heavy uptick in companies building spammy links thus to their competitors would cause serious collateral damage.
Theoretically, that may definitely happen where there are a variety of claims of negative SEO since 10/17. Lets face it, Penguins signature isn't complicated to break down. So if someone built spammy links with their competitors on sites targeted by Penguin, then web sites could possibly get hit by subsequent Penguin refreshes. Many within the industry including myself believe this can be one on the reasons it's got taken that long for Google to unveil Penguin 3.0. Im sure internal testing revealed serious collateral damage.
But heres the situation with negative SEO its very, very hard to prove that NSEO will be the culprit for many sites. Ive received many calls since Penguin first rolled out in 2012 with company owners claiming they never build spammy links that got them hit. But when you dig to the situation, you'll be able to often trace the spammy link trail time for someone bound to the company.
That can be quite a marketing person, agency, SEO company, PR agency, intern, etc. You can check out my Search Engine Watch column titled Racing Penguin to learn a case study of any company that thought negative SEO was at the office, a lot more fact, it turned out their own PR agency setting the links. So, although weve heard complaints of negative SEO with Penguin 3.0, its not easy to say if those are accurate claims.
If you are actually negatively afflicted with Penguin 3.0, my advice remains in step with previous Penguin hits. You must download all of your one way links from a amount of sources, analyze those links, flag unnatural links, after which remove/disavow them. Then you must wait for just a Penguin refresh or update. That may be months from now, but I would start soon. You never know when the following Penguin update is going to be
On the other side, for those who have just recovered from your Penguin hit, then you definately should build a process for checking your links on the monthly basis. Make sure new spammy links are certainly not being built. I have experienced spammy links replicate within the past so its vital that you fully understand your latest links. I wrote your website post covering tips on how to do this on Search Engine Watch connected to above. I recommend reading that post and implementing the monthly process.
And if you're unsure of which algorithm update impacted your blog, then consult with as many people knowledgeable about algo updates as you can. You need to make certain you are ideal right one together with your remediation plan. But as I mentioned earlier, you will discover three external algos inside wild now with Penguin, Panda, and Pirate. This inherently brings that confusion for webmasters seeing impact.
Summary Penguin 3.0 and Beyond
Thats what I have for the moment. Again, I plan to post more posts soon concerning the impact of Penguin 3.0, the steady but slow rollout, interesting cases that surface, and even more. In the meantime, I recommend analyzing your reporting heavily over your next few weeks. And thats especially the situation since multiple algos are running concurrently. Its a crazy situation, and underscores the complexity of todays SEO environment. So strap on the SEO helmets, grab a bottle of Tylenol, and start Google Webmaster Tools. Its gonna be an intriguing ride.
that ought to recover during Penguin to many level. They worked hard
just as the companies I in the above list. They cleaned up their link
profiles, heavily used the disavow tool, worked tirelessly to correct their
Penguin problem, but are yet to seen any impact yet from Penguin 3.0.
I m in this case, and am very concerned. We did good cleanup of links, along with February succeeded to get a manual penalty lifted. We had every reason you may anticipate that once Penguin refreshed, we will see some degree of recovery our traffic may be a steady flat-line from the time Penguin 2.0 hit us.
When I heard that Penguin 3.0 was rolling out, I was extremely excited. But here we're also, over the week later, therefore we ve seen no movement of any type. We still need the same steady flat-line. I know this rollout could take weeks, so hope isn t lost yet. But what the results are if this rollout ends, and my website and many others don t recover, when clearly they SHOULD have?
If this may happen, and plenty of sites with cleaned-up link profiles don t recover to the degree, what exactly do we do then? Wait another year, hoping that the subsequent Penguin refresh doesn t inexplicably pass us all over again?
Or at this point will it be possible to have someone at Google to speak with us, and give some alternative way for getting released from Penguin?
If this scenario falls, and a few of your clients who ought to have recovered don t, what's going to you do?
Thanks for ones comment Antonio. And I hear you loud and clear. You re not really alone. The good news is the rollout should certainly take a weeks. I would wait another week or two prior to getting more concerned.
And if many get left out which will recover, you have to can determine what to do. Hang in there. And if you would like to email me the domain, feel free to try and do so. I can please take a look and monitor it as a I see additional Penguin tremors.
It s a fascinating analysis that corroborates in doing what DejanSEO was saying ahead of the Penguin 3.0 announcement broke out. It s interesting to view how your EMD s were affected, though in accordance with Mozcast this number has bounced back somewhat from 22nd October. PMD s also took a huge hit towards the lowest levels and in line with Moz s data have become nearing the biggest SERPS entry yet. That s a significant bullish result wheras the PMD influence carries a head and shoulder formation bearing in a overall falling wedge.
Thanks to your comment Ed. Just like with previous Penguin updates, it wasn t really about EMDs or PMDs. It was much more about their link profiles.: I saw many sites get hit by Penguin 3.0 that weren t EMDs or PMDs. I mentioned this around my previous posts about Penguin 1.0, 2.0, and a couple of.1.
Signature-wise, that it was the same exact tactics being s tough to believe that sites employed those tactics, since Penguin may be hammering them since April of 2012. And now we probably won t see another update until 2015 and my guess is spring of 2015. Crazy, but definitely possible.
Fair comment Glenn, is Penguin still definitely almost linking and profiles of links solely? The new announcement said increased spam signals how 1 % of queries in US English search results happen to be impacted I m just wondering how this may be interpreted. Or is this impact merely a indirect impact on these newly discovered link spam triggers getting set up? Could it dampen affects of negative SEO within a scalable way perhaps? What are your intepretations of increased spam signals?
Ed, definitely turn back and read Pierre s announcement. He explained it s a refresh and doesn t say new signals were added
He says, This refresh helps sites that contain already cleaned within the webspam signals discovered inside the previous Penguin iteration, and demotes sites with newly-discovered spam.
Do you imagine its easier for getting Penguin initially, than to escape it once its set its teeth in?
Recovery is utterly possible, but many work should be done to obtain to that stage. A thorough analysis should be completed, spammy links identified, then those links ought to be removed or disavowed. For some sites, it means analyzing countless thousands of links. It s tough, but possible.
Thanks on your comment Elena. It s difficult to tell without analyzing your blog in detail. What would be the exact date you saw a drop in visits from Google organic? Also, exactly what does Google Webmaster Tools show for both web and mobile? You can check your Search Queries reporting to find out impressions and clicks.
Thank you very much to your fast response.
Thanks for sharing the screenshot and knowledge. That would be the Panda update rolled out 10/24. Have you possessed any previous Panda problems? Drops during previous Panda updates? Also, do you see any drop in the 9/5 Panda update?
You should read my previous posts about Panda here on my own blog as well as in my Search Engine Watch column. You ll should identify any problems Panda-wise and make a change.
Elena, could you check Google Analytics and appearance the time the drop moving on 10/24? Also, have you ever experienced any difficulty with Penguin inside past. It appears like Panda began rolling out about 5PM ET based for the sites I have analyzed that were influenced by it on 10/24. But as I explain above, Penguin is also in the multi-week rollout.
This is the reason why it s far better to have an audit conducted in order to identify the actual drop, understand which pages dropped, be aware of the factors that contributed on the drop, etc.
Stefano, you train with Elena, right?: I was thinking about your circumstances more, that is why I posted another comment below. There is really a multi-week Penguin rollout happening, and so they slipped inside a relatively big Panda update on 10/24. That s why it s extremely crucial that you fully analyze the website, the drop, etc. And no, it s not the EMD update it will be Penguin if links include the culprit. Many EMDs are fine it s more details on the links you happen to be building towards the site whether or not it s an EMD or otherwise not.
Quickly checking the hyperlink profile, there does appear to be a heavy level of links using exact match anchortext. I came across several on poor sites many of which had malware warnings, and immediately starting downloading files to my computer. Not good, to put it mildly. Very Penguin-like sites once you learn what I mean. Have you been linkbulding during the last year? Did you hire a company to assist you to with that?
I recommended that Elena send me a email via email and then we can better know what s going on using the site. I hope that helps.
Have you had the capacity to decipher yet what particular factors were part in this latest Panda update they snuck in? We took an apparent hit by using it first time since August 2013 and now we d been making small recoveries with every panda since Panda 4 rolled out earlier this May.
Hi Valerie. I m sorry to see you were hit by the most up-to-date update on 10/24. I ve been digging into both recoveries and fresh hits and definately will let you know what I uncover. One thing that stands out may be the connection towards the 9/5 Panda update. Were you impacted by any means by that update either negative or positive movement?
Is there any great way of determining whether your blog was hit with Panda or Penguin?
My site s stats imploded on 10/25, and I have no clue what algorithm made it happen or why. I ve never had a problem with an algorithm penalty by 50 percent years and was totally shocked, and from now on I have not a chance of understanding what s even wrong. I ve never obtained a link around my life, I nofollow everything, and I ve never posted a write-up that isn t 300-1000 words minimum.
I don t discover why Google can t make things at the least a tiny bit transparent.
Thanks for ones comment Dabid. That drop is what exactly I m seeing across companies managing Panda problems, not Penguin. The 10/24 update absolutely seems like a Panda update slipped into your multi-week Penguin update.
That said, I would need to assess your site to improve understand your particular situation. If you need to email me your domain, you may via my contact page. Also, maybe you've experienced any previous Panda issues? Any drops during previous Panda updates? Also, how did your web site perform over the 9/5 update? I ve seen an association between the 9/5 update and 10/24 update. Thanks.
My site got hit by panda probably, on 25 Oct. I don t know why. Site doesn t have got backlinks except 4 to 5 that are naturally and all of the content from site is compiled by me. On 5 Sept didn t happen nothing special, but traffic start to rise seriously on 3 Oct.
Nick, Panda targets low-quality content, not unnatural links. You should read my previous posts about Panda identification, analysis, and remediation. I hope that helps.
Thanks because of this article Glenn. I have already been digging around and attempting to work out why my shop on Etsy as well as many others has plummeted in views from around end of September. How can I work out if the has what has affected us?
Thanks for ones comment Sarah. Can you email me your domain? I ll try and please take a look. Panda 4.1 rolled on 9/23, therefore it could be that. You can email me via my contact page. Thanks.
You need Google to recrawl all the backlinks to understand they are actually removed, Google must process your updated disavow file, crawl those links, etc.
Then you will need another Penguin refresh or update. There are actually a amount of Penguin tremors since 3.0 and Google has confirmed it s still rolling out. I hope that helps.
I m sorry to know you were hit Marco. If it absolutely was on 10/24, it sounds like it had been the cloaked Panda update. If that s the truth, you'll need to analyze your website through a Panda lens looking for inferior content.
That can often mean several things, though Thin, duplicate, scraped, copied, low-quality affiliate content, etc. If you would like to email me your domain, I might be able to require a quick look. I hope that helps.
Thanks Jignesh. My schedule may be crazy, so I ll try and require a look when I can. I ll have touch.
Ah, it s Majestic which IMO will be the best link analysis tool for the market. You should check against each other. I think you ll dig it.:
Ah! I use that particular for my backlink counter and completely forgot about this. There are so many tools, it s difficult to remember which does what!:
Thank for for sharing a great content. I really got resourceful specifics of Penguin 3 and it is analysis.
Hi Genn, still no Panda update from 24 oct? it s very weird
You re right, I never have seen a Panda update since 10/24 update. Google appears to have taken it offline through the holidays which can be common. I fully expect one soon, though. Last year they rolled one on 1/10/14. I think it s closer than away at this point.
Nice article Glenn, thanks. One question visualizing disavow does anything? Many people say no do anything as well as its better to take off the backlinks yourself, rather then disavowing them.
Yes, during my opinion, the disavow file really does work. I always recommend removing numerous links as you may manually and disavowing what you are able to t be able to. I hope that helps.
Thanks because of this post, Glenn. I ve been wanting to dig up info on anything that s happened surrounding this Oct 24/25 date as that seems to when I m starting to view some decline. I m suspecting it offers to do using this panda bump. Though it s quite a bit less drastic as some in the other screenshots you ve posted, it appears to take place inline with those dates. My cohorts are already suggesting the drop could possibly be down due to your lack of links but I suspect it's due to thin content aka panda messing around with us. Would love to gain your insight with this. Also, I m curious why this change on 10/24 isn t recorded on many sites tracking a brief history of algorithm changes. Thanks!
Great, I have. Since Google has mentioned how they haven t been rolling your Panda updates as scheduled or frequently as the course notes said they are actually, does one anticipate that cleaning up many the thin and duplicate content will help us out when the following refresh is? Thanks again.
